Product Overview
The CKP-52-10 is Re-Verber-Ray's natural-to-propane field conversion kit for the FA-300N gas-fired unit heater. Installed correctly, it re-meters the gas train for propane's higher energy density: the FA-300N runs at a 300,000 BTU/h input on propane with an 11.0 in. W.C. manifold pressure, within a 10.0 to 14.0 in. W.C. inlet pressure range. Getting these numbers right is the difference between a heater that fires clean on propane and one that runs rich, sooty, or short-cycles.
Fits the Re-Verber-Ray FA-300N gas-fired unit heater only, and only for installations at or below 2,000 ft elevation; see Fitment below for the full model list.
Ships with the propane-sized orifices, regulator, and conversion hardware needed to re-tune the burner for LP gas, replacing the natural-gas orifice and regulator setup the FA-300N leaves the factory with.
Swap in the CKP-52-10 when converting an FA-300N from natural gas to propane, or when replacing a damaged or missing conversion kit on a unit already running LP. Before starting: shut off the gas supply, disconnect power to the unit, follow the FA Series installation manual step by step, and have a qualified gas technician verify manifold pressure and flame condition before returning the heater to service. See the FA Series Installation, Operation, Maintenance, and Parts manual for full conversion instructions.
