TP-240 Natural Gas Valve Train Assembly

The Re-Verber-Ray TP-240 is a natural gas valve train assembly for single-stage low-intensity tube heaters, operating at 120V with a 3.5" W.C. inlet pressure. The valve train assembly regulates gas flow to the burner tube: on a call for heat the valve opens, supplying gas at the controlled outlet pressure; on shutdown or loss of the ignition signal it closes immediately to cut off the gas supply. The single-stage design delivers one fixed firing rate, with no modulation or high/low staging. The TP-240 cross-references to Honeywell VR series valves VR4205M-1324 and VR4205M-2926, the OEM valve bodies used in this assembly and listed as alternate part numbers on the manufacturer's parts page. If sourcing the Honeywell valve directly, confirm the model number and ratings against the heater's wiring diagram and service manual before ordering.

It ships as a complete assembly: valve body, fittings, and mounting bracket, everything needed to drop into the control box.

Replacing this part: shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater before opening the control box. This replacement must be performed by a qualified service technician. Follow Re-Verber-Ray installation sheet LSH106 for wire grouping and termination; the wiring configuration changed between the 36E and VR series valves.
