Product Overview
The TP-241 is a complete propane (LP) gas valve train assembly for Re-Verber-Ray single-stage tube heaters, factory set at 10.0 in. w.c. operating pressure. The gas valve train controls propane flow to the burner tube: on a 120V call for heat, the single-stage valve opens to allow gas to the ignitor; on satisfaction it closes and cuts gas flow completely.
The assembly fits Re-Verber-Ray DX, DX2, DES, XTS, CX, LS, and RH series single-stage tube heaters running 120V propane; see the Fitment panel for the complete model and BTU list. It replaces the older TP-209P and its predecessor TP-107P, using the same mounting footprint. The OEM valve in this assembly cross-references to Honeywell VR4205M-1357 (also catalogued as 24KU52); if sourcing directly from a Honeywell distributor, verify using part number VR4205M-1357. The VR-series valve replaces the earlier 36E-style valve family; wiring connections differ from the old valve, so follow the install sheet closely. Confirm the heater's voltage (120V) and fuel type (propane/LP) against the data plate before ordering.
The assembly ships as a complete train: Honeywell VR4205M-1357 valve, inlet and outlet fittings, and mounting bracket, arriving pre-assembled and ready to install without sourcing individual components separately.
Replacement requires removing the control box cover, grouping the existing wires per the wiring diagram, and rewiring the new VR-series valve to the existing harness using the color code on the install sheet. Before starting: shut off the gas supply and open the electrical circuit to the heater. This procedure must be performed by a qualified service technician.
