TP-3040 Natural Gas Valve Train Assembly

The Re-Verber-Ray TP-3040 is a natural gas valve train assembly for Series 3 single-stage tube heaters, rated 120V at 3.5" W.C. inlet pressure. The valve train controls fuel delivery to the radiant tube on each ignition cycle: on a call for heat the valve opens to pass natural gas to the burner, and on shutdown or a safety lockout it closes to cut the fuel supply. Single-stage operation means one fixed gas flow rate, with no modulation. The 3.5" W.C. rating is the inlet pressure this valve train is calibrated and approved to operate on; verify supply pressure matches before installation.

The assembly fits Re-Verber-Ray DX3, DES3, and XTS3 Series 3 single-stage natural gas tube heaters; see the Fitment panel below for the complete model list. It is the current-production replacement for the original factory valve train installed on those heaters at the time of manufacture, and the valve body cross-references to Honeywell VR4205M-1324 and VR4205M-2926, both listed as alternate part numbers by Re-Verber-Ray. Detailed electrical ratings for the Honeywell cross-reference (amperage, contact load) come from Honeywell specifications, not the Re-Verber-Ray parts listing; confirm those values before relying on them for the application.

The TP-3040 ships as a complete sub-assembly: valve body, all fittings, and mounting bracket, so no loose hardware sourcing is required on installation. It includes the bracket and fittings that a bare Honeywell valve alone does not supply, and is the factory-specified replacement for that OEM valve.

Before replacing this assembly, shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater. The valve train is a gas-path component; installation must be completed by a qualified technician who pressure-tests for leaks, verifies ignition, and confirms correct combustion before returning the heater to service.
