TP-36PKIT Gas Valve Update Kit

The Re-Verber-Ray TP-36PKIT is a factory update kit that replaces the discontinued TP-36 (WR 25K) gas valve on 120V propane-fired DTH and DTHS tube heaters. Installing the kit moves flame supervision and valve control onto the TP-78D circuit board instead of the original TP-36 valve and its external TP-33P regulator. The external flame sensor is no longer used for sensing once the kit is installed, though the sensor itself stays in the tube; only its electrical connection is disconnected. This kit is a valve and control upgrade only, it is not a gas conversion, and it must not be used to change a heater between propane and natural gas.

Fits the 120V propane DTH and DTHS tube heater family, including the DTH-2 and DTHS-40-100[N,P]-2 per the installation sheet, and supersedes the discontinued TP-36 (WR 25K) valve assembly; see Fitment below for the full model list.

It ships complete with a TP-107P propane gas valve (VR-1357, 10.0" or standard VR-1357), a TP-78D circuit board, a TP-78B wire harness, and a TP-390 circuit-board-to-wire-harness adaptor, everything needed to convert the control box in one visit.

Before starting, shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power to the heater. Remove the external TP-33P regulator, since it is no longer used with this kit, and disconnect (but do not remove) the radiant sensor from the tube. Transfer the gas orifice from the old valve to the new TP-107P valve train and wire the control box per the diagram on the installation sheet. As with any gas-path part, have a qualified service technician verify all gas connections and confirm proper operation after installation.
