Product Overview
The TP-555 is a three-prong spark igniter electrode for Re-Verber-Ray tube heaters, also cataloged under alternate number 1756-86. The electrode mounts at the burner and does two jobs off the same three prongs: it delivers the spark that lights the burner on a call for heat, and it senses flame presence once lit so the control board knows ignition succeeded.
Fits the DET, DES, and RH tube heater families, including the DES3 and DET3 generations; see Fitment below for the full model list.
It ships as a complete assembly with the flame sensor built into the same electrode body, so there is no separate sensor rod to source or align. If the assembly is worn, cracked, or no longer sparking or sensing reliably, the whole three-prong unit replaces as one part.
Replacing this electrode is straightforward but it sits in the gas path: shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater before removing the old assembly, mount the new electrode in the same position and gap as the original, and have a qualified technician verify spark and flame sense operation against the unit's installation sheet before returning it to service.
