CKP-53-9 LP Conversion Kit for FA-225N

The Re-Verber-Ray CKP-53-9 is a natural-gas-to-propane conversion kit for the FA-225 unit heater family, including the FA-225N, rated for installations at 2,000 ft elevation and below. Installing it converts the heater from natural gas operation to propane operation; it does not replace the burner or gas valve assembly, only reconfigures them for the new fuel type. The kit resizes the gas train for propane's higher energy density and lower required flow, matching orifice sizing and regulator setting to LP so the burner lights and modulates correctly on the new fuel. This keeps combustion within the heater manufacturer's design tolerances instead of running an LP heater on natural-gas-sized components, which would produce an unsafe or inefficient flame.

The kit ships as a factory-matched set of conversion components sized for LP fuel.

This kit is installed once during a fuel-type conversion and is not a wear part that needs periodic replacement. Because it works directly in the gas path, conversion should only be performed with the gas supply shut off and power to the heater disconnected, following the heater's installation manual step by step, with a qualified gas technician verifying burner operation and combustion afterward.
