Product Overview
The TH-DSSS2 is Re-Verber-Ray's Designer Series two-switch patio heater control, built for two-zone, single-stage operation with positive off. Each of the two illuminated knobs switches one zone of connected heaters on or off, closing the low-voltage circuit on manual activation. The control is rated for 24 V switching at up to 10 A per switch, sized to drive the transformer-fed contactor circuit on a multi-heater zone rather than switch heater power directly.
It fits the Re-Verber-Ray DSCS Series. It is not suitable for the DSR series, which is two-stage where this control is single-stage. See Fitment below for the full model list.
It ships complete with a faceplate and a heavy duty junction box. It is field-wired directly to the heater's low-voltage circuit rather than shipped with a factory set point, since it is a manual on/off control, not a thermostat.
Mount the control to a suitable electrical junction box and wire each zone per the field instruction sheet. Before servicing or replacing the control, shut off the gas supply, disconnect all power to the unit, and verify wiring against the installation sheet.
