Product Overview
The TH-DSTS1 is Re-Verber-Ray's non-thermostatic single zone, two stage control for infrared patio heaters, built around an illuminated control knob. It is rated 24 V switching at 10 A max per switch, with contact action closing on manual activation of the knob. In the heater, it gives the operator high, low, and positive off staging from a single wall control: the knob switches the 24 V circuit between the HIGH and LOW legs feeding the heater's gas valve or relay, so one control point handles both stages without a separate stat or timer.
It fits Re-Verber-Ray HL2-DS/DSR series heaters for single unit two stage wiring, and DSCD series heaters wired in multiples off a shared transformer; see Fitment below for the full list.
The TH-DSTS1 ships standard with a faceplate and a heavy duty junction box, and mounts to a 3.0 in. wide by 4.75 in. high by 2.625 in. deep electrical junction box.
For multiple heaters wired together, a field supplied transformer sized to the heater count is required; the DSR, DST, and HL2-DS require one ERK-HE external relay kit per heater when controlling multiple heaters. When replacing an existing single zone two stage control with the TH-DSTS1, match the wiring to the HIGH, 24 V, and LOW terminal layout on the heater before final hookup. Shut off the gas supply and disconnect power before servicing; a qualified technician should confirm correct wiring and verify ignition and staging operation before returning the heater to service.
