Product Overview
The DSCD Series is Re-Verber-Ray's two-stage, high-intensity infrared patio heater, intended for commercial and residential outdoor spaces that require overhead heat without a floor-standing unit occupying the space. Each unit ships as a complete overhead fixture with a wind- and rain-protected housing and potted, water-resistant 24V circuitry. It mounts at a recommended height and wires to a field-supplied 24VAC transformer.
The heater is available in two BTU sizes: 31,000 BTU and 34,000 BTU. The 31,000 BTU models run on natural gas or propane and cover roughly an 8' x 8' area. The 34,000 BTU models are natural-gas-only and cover roughly a 9' x 9' area. All models operate on a 24VAC control circuit and mount at heights in the 8' to 13' range depending on model. Operation is two-stage: the heater fires on a lower stage for mild conditions and steps up to full output as the temperature drops, rather than cycling a single-stage burner on and off. Ignition is direct spark, and the potted 24V circuitry keeps the electronics sealed against outdoor moisture.
The line includes four models covering the two BTU sizes and two housing finishes: DSCD-31N and DSCD-31N-SS at 31,000 BTU, and DSCD-34N and DSCD-34N-SS at 34,000 BTU. Housing finish options are black powder-coated aluminized steel or brushed 430 stainless steel, both built for wind- and rain-exposed mounting locations such as patios, porches, and covered outdoor dining areas, giving four combinations of size and finish to match a space and a look. Mounting brackets and optional switch or timer controls are available to complete the installation.
This is an unvented, outdoor-only fixture. Do not install or operate it indoors, in sleeping quarters, or in an attached garage. Mounting height runs 8' to 13' depending on model; follow the submittal data sheet for exact mounting angle and clearance requirements, and for full wiring and mounting details. The DSCD Series is backed by Re-Verber-Ray's limited warranty: 5 years on the ceramic burner and 1 year on components.
