Product Overview
The TP-827 is a red LED diagnostic light that mounts to the heater's control board and reports the board's diagnostic state through its on/off behavior; the light is either on or off, it does not flash. It gives a technician a quick visual read on what the board is doing without pulling a cover panel or connecting test equipment, which speeds up basic troubleshooting calls. It has no voltage or gas rating of its own since it is a low-voltage indicator fed from the control board, not a line-powered component.
Fits the RVA-2, HL-2, and LD 5 control boards; see the Fitment panel below for the full list of applicable models.
The TP-827 ships as a complete plug-in assembly with a 7 inch lead and control-board plug already attached. It ships ready to connect; no wiring or crimping is required.
Replacing this light is a control-board-level task: shut off gas and disconnect power to the heater before opening the cabinet, unplug the old light from the board, and plug in the new one, matching lead routing to the installation sheet. A qualified technician should confirm normal diagnostic operation before closing up the unit. See the manufacturer's documentation for board-specific wiring: https://www.reverberray.com/parts/tp-827/
