TP-826 40VA Transformer

The TP-826 is a 40 VA foot-mount transformer rated 120V primary / 24V secondary. It steps 120V line voltage down to the 24V supply required by the heater's control circuit, powering the gas valve, ignition control board, and safety interlocks. A failed transformer cuts the 24V supply entirely; the control board will not energize and the burner will not fire.

The TP-826 is confirmed in service manuals for the CL3, CX3, DSRL, DSRS, DST, DX3L, HL2, HL3, LD3, LS3, MP, QTD, and QTS series; see the Fitment panel for the full model list. It replaces the earlier Re-Verber-Ray part number 4-1611453-7 (old factory number 4000-01E07K999) and is the current-production unit for all series that referenced those numbers. The alternate part number 4-1611453-7 appears on the manufacturer product page as an OEM cross-reference; the transformer's original equipment manufacturer is not identified in Re-Verber-Ray documentation available in this record. If sourcing a direct OEM substitute is required, confirm the transformer manufacturer and model against the series installation manual or contact the Re-Verber-Ray factory before substituting.

Before replacing this transformer, disconnect power at the heater's service disconnect and allow the unit to cool.
