Product Overview
The TR-96VA is a 96 VA transformer built for Re-Verber-Ray DSC series patio heaters. It steps incoming line voltage down to 24 VAC to run the heater's ignition and control circuit and is rated to connect up to 5 heaters from a single transformer, suiting multi-head patio installations where one shared control circuit is simpler than wiring a separate transformer to every heater. In the heater, it isolates the low-voltage control side, spark ignition, gas valve, and safety switches, from line voltage and delivers the steady 24 VAC those components need to operate correctly. Centralizing that supply across up to 5 heaters keeps the control wiring simple instead of running duplicate transformers unit by unit.

When replacing this transformer, shut off gas to the heater, disconnect electrical power at the source, and match the new unit's wiring against the heater's installation sheet before reconnecting. Have a qualified technician verify ignition and control operation once the new transformer is installed.
