Product Overview
240001264 is a 208/230V primary to 24V secondary control transformer rated at 40VA. Inside RetroAire ductless and packaged HVAC equipment, it steps down incoming line voltage to the 24V class 2 control circuit voltage, powering the 24V control circuit, thermostat wiring, and control board so the controls and relays run on the low-voltage signal.
It fits the RetroAire ComfortWave (CAW), E-verter (UNHV), and VPRC/VPRH air handler and packaged unit series; see Fitment below for the full model list.
It ships as a standalone transformer, ready to wire into the unit's control circuit in place of the factory-installed part.
Shut off power to the unit at the disconnect before removing the old transformer, and match the wiring and mounting to the original before restoring power. Have a qualified technician verify control operation once power is restored.
