DR-RHP Ceramic Rayhead Assembly

The DR-RHP is a ceramic rayhead assembly for Re-Verber-Ray DR-series high-intensity propane heaters rated 30,000 to 55,000 BTU that are assembled with ceramics in the combustion chamber. The rayhead assembly forms the infrared combustion surface at the core of the burner. It houses the ceramic combustion media and accepts the nine rods that complete the burner assembly, converting gas combustion into the radiant heat output the heater is rated for.

Fits all Re-Verber-Ray DR-series high-intensity propane heaters rated 30,000 to 55,000 BTU assembled with ceramics in the combustion chamber; see the Fitment panel for the full model list. It is interchangeable with the DR-RH per the manufacturer installation sheet. No third-party OEM cross-reference number was identified in available manufacturer documentation for the DR-RHP.

The assembly ships without rods. Nine rods (DR-LROD and DR-SROD types) are sold separately and transfer from the old rayhead into the new assembly during replacement.

Replacement requires disconnecting supply voltage and allowing the heater to cool fully. Remove the four reflector bolts and slide the reflector up (controls may need to be removed first). Remove the flash shield, then remove the four rayhead bolts and pull the faulty rayhead. Slide the nine rods up and out of the old assembly and install them into the new DR-RHP; reinstall by reversing those steps, ensuring rayhead tabs are adjacent to manifold tabs. Shut off gas, disconnect power, and verify all connections before returning the heater to service. This work should be performed by a qualified technician.
