Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray DR-V24N is a combination natural gas valve for Detroit Radiant high intensity heaters, also listed under Alt # 1FEK5 for cross-reference at the parts counter. As a combination valve, it houses the gas cock, pressure regulator, and safety shutoff in a single body. It controls gas flow to the burner and shuts it off on a call for no-flame or loss of power, operating on 24V for natural gas systems.
It fits the NFS-2 [24V] and AMERICAN 455N [25V] natural gas high intensity heaters; see the Fitment panel below for the full model list.
It is sold as a complete replacement assembly.
Replacing this part: shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater before removing the old valve.
