Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray HVW-18 is an 18-inch orange spark wire with a molded boot. It carries the high-voltage pulse from the ignition control to the electrode at each ignition attempt. Cracked insulation, a deteriorated boot, or a corroded terminal end lets the spark energy arc to ground before it reaches the electrode, producing intermittent ignition lockouts or a no-ignite condition; replacing a degraded wire restores reliable spark delivery.
The HVW-18 fits Re-Verber-Ray NFS-2 and PFS-2 high intensity heaters; see the Fitment panel below for the complete model list. It directly replaces the earlier G HVW-18. Alternate part numbers 1302918 and 24KR77 (the Grainger catalog number) reference this same wire through distributor channels. These are not OEM datasheet cross-references; confirm fitment against the unit's wiring diagram before relying on the equivalence.
The HVW-18 ships as a single wire assembly, ready to install. No hardware or adapters are included; the wire connects at one end to the ignition module terminal and at the other to the burner electrode via the boot.
Shut off gas and disconnect power before servicing. Remove the boot from the electrode and unplug the control-end terminal, then reverse the steps with the new HVW-18. A qualified technician should verify ignition operation after installation and confirm the heater lights cleanly on the first trial. No dedicated install sheet is available for this part; consult the NFS-2/PFS-2 series manual and the unit's wiring diagram for terminal locations and routing.
