Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray ETD-5M is a two-stage, low-voltage wall thermostat that controls heat output on Re-Verber-Ray tube heater installations. It is factory set to a 35°F to 75°F control range with a fixed 2.0°F differential, built around a snap-action, double-pole switch rated 22 amps at 24/125/277 VAC. In operation, the thermostat opens on a rise in temperature and steps the heater between low and high firing stages, plus power, as the space approaches its set point, giving two-stage control rather than a simple on/off single-stage call for heat.
The ETD-5M fits Re-Verber-Ray tube heater installations and mounts to an F29GRD or MTGRD thermostat guard; see the Fitment panel for the full list of compatible models and heater series.
It ships as a complete cover-and-base unit measuring 4.75" x 2.75" x 2.75". The unit is UL Listed and CSA Certified.
The thermostat wires through Power, Low, and High terminals per its wiring diagram; reference the specific heater's own installation and operation manual for field wiring at the heater end. Before removing an existing two-stage thermostat, shut off the heater's gas supply and disconnect power, then confirm wiring against both the heater's installation manual and the ETD-5M instruction sheet before restoring power, and have a qualified technician verify operation. Full specifications and the wiring diagram are in the Re-Verber-Ray ETD-5M instruction sheet (LSH010).
