Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray TP-71 radiant sensor mica is also listed under alternate part number 1595131. It is a passive insulating component with no voltage or gas-type rating, since it is an insulator rather than an electrical or gas part. The mica insulates the radiant sensor inside the burner assembly, keeping the sensor isolated from the heater's metal components so it can read tube temperature without shorting out. A cracked or burned-through mica is a common cause of an erratic or failed radiant sensor reading.
Fits DTH and DTHS tube heaters; note that first-year DTH(S) units did not include this mica as original equipment. See Fitment below for the full model list.
Ships as a single insulating mica component.
Replacing this part: shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater before opening the burner compartment. Verify sensor operation against the unit's installation manual once reassembled, and have a qualified technician confirm proper operation before returning the heater to service.
