PV Sub Kit 24V Gas Valve Substitution Kit

The PV Sub Kit 24V is a combination gas valve and pilot tube substitution kit for Re-Verber-Ray N, N-2, NE, NE-2, and NSP-4 high-intensity infrared heaters, used to replace an aging combination gas valve. A combination gas valve like this controls gas flow to both the pilot and the main burner, opening on a call for heat and shutting off gas when the thermostat is satisfied or a safety lockout occurs. The pilot tube included in the kit feeds gas from the valve to the pilot assembly.

The kit fits the Re-Verber-Ray N, N-2, NE, NE-2, and NSP-4 high-intensity heater models; see Fitment below for the full list. It replaces the original V844A-1078 combination gas valve, the unit fitted to these heaters at the factory. The DR-V24N valve included in this kit is Re-Verber-Ray's direct-fit factory substitution for the V844A-1078, per the manufacturer's own installation sheet.

The kit ships complete with a combination gas valve (DR-V24N), a pilot tube, and 1/8" x 1/4" compression fittings.

Replacing this part requires shutting off the gas supply and disconnecting electrical power to the heater before starting. Disconnect the old pilot tubing and the combination valve's wiring, remove the old valve at the union connection, install the new valve in an upright position, reconnect the wiring, and run new pilot tubing per the installation sheet.
