TP-FRK Flame Rod Kit (221, 222 & 222A)

The Re-Verber-Ray TP-FRK is a complete flame rod kit for HL and DX series tube heaters. It rebuilds the flame-sensing path on the heater's ignition circuit: the Glo-Bar gasket holder mounts the sensing element into the starter tube, the flame rod carries the sense signal, and the flame rod wire ties the rod back to the control board, via the wire nut on HL units and the spade terminal on DX units, so the control can confirm flame is present and hold the gas valve open.

The kit fits pre-12/94 HL and DX series tube heaters; see the Fitment panel below for the full model list. Detroit Radiant Products lists the alternate part number 24KT61 for this kit. No independent OEM manufacturer cross-reference was found in the sourced material; treat 24KT61 as a Re-Verber-Ray catalog alternate, not a third-party equivalent.

The kit ships complete: a TP-221 Glo-Bar gasket holder, a TP-222 flame rod, a TP-222A flame rod wire, an orange wire nut, and a spade terminal, everything needed to replace the flame-sensing hardware in one order rather than sourcing the gasket holder, rod, and wire separately.

Installation differs by series: HL units splice the flame rod wire to the Glo-Bar's SIC2 connection with the spade terminal, while DX units join the two with the supplied wire nut. Before servicing, shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater. Use the new gasket as a drilling template if boring a fresh 3/8 in. hole.
