Product Overview
The 32-508 is the 3-prong main burner spark electrode for Re-Verber-Ray high intensity infrared heaters. It initiates ignition of the main burner. The 3-prong ceramic body positions the sparker tip and flame sense rod at the correct geometry relative to the burner head, with the gap between the sparker and the ceramic face set to 1/8 to 3/16 inch and a 1-inch clearance required from the electrode to the rayhead rods, achieved by snipping the rod closest to the electrode if needed.
Fits Re-Verber-Ray NFS-2 and PFS-2 high intensity heater series; also listed in the DR-Series manual. See the Fitment panel for the complete model list. The 32-508 supersedes and directly replaces the G32-508. It is also sold and searched under alternate numbers 2430122 and 1FEK9. No separate OEM manufacturer cross-reference has been identified in available sources; cross-references listed are Re-Verber-Ray / Detroit Radiant Products alternates only.
The assembly ships as a single electrode unit.
If replacing a 2-prong electrode (P/N 22-508) with this 3-prong unit, a compatible circuit board and wiring harness change is also required; see Chart 1 in installation sheet LSH002 for the correct board and harness part numbers.
To replace this electrode, first disconnect electrical supply voltage to the heater. Then remove all connections to the electrode (spade connectors). With connections cleared, remove the 2 screws securing the original electrode assembly to the mounting bracket and pull the assembly free. Install the new 32-508 assembly, reconnect the spade connections, and adjust the spark gap to 1/8 to 3/16 inch per Figures 2 and 3 in the installation sheet. Verify 1-inch clearance to the rayhead rods and snip the nearest rod if clearance is insufficient. A qualified technician should verify gap, clearance, and first-fire operation.
