Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray 36H32-304 is a White-Rodgers/Emerson 36H series combination gas valve, a single-stage, fast-opening configuration shipped factory-set for natural gas, non-piloted operation. This valve is a functional replacement for the obsolete 36E36-210, the physical dimensions are different, some field modification may be required for fit.
The valve body integrates redundant main and pilot solenoids, a pressure regulator, and a two-position on/off switch for electrical shutoff. In operation, the redundant solenoids meter gas flow to the main burners while the internal regulator holds a constant outlet pressure of 2.5 to 5.0 in. w.c. on natural gas (5.0 to 12.0 in. w.c. on LP gas after conversion). The valve runs on 24 VAC at .410 A and works with hot surface ignition (HSI), direct spark ignition (DSI), and proven pilot ignition systems.
This valve is built across the White-Rodgers 36H family, which includes the 36H32, 36H33, 36H64, and 36H65, varying by staging, opening speed, and pilot configuration. As shipped, the valve is factory-set for natural gas, non-piloted operation. Separate conversion kits are available for LP gas or for piloted applications.
When replacing this valve, shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power to the heater before beginning work. Verify wiring and pipe sizing against the installation instructions, and have a qualified technician confirm proper operation, pressure regulation, and leak-free connections before returning the heater to service.
