Product Overview
The Re-Verber-Ray TP-3140 is the V3 24V two stage natural gas valve assembly, supplied as the full 3.5" manifold gas train rather than a bare valve body. As the heater's primary gas control, it meters natural gas to the burner in two stages, low fire for ignition and steady-state operation, then high fire once the control calls for full output, working with the heater's control board and pressure switch to regulate flow safely through the manifold.
It is built for 24V natural gas HL3 and DET3 tube heaters, also referenced in Re-Verber-Ray's CL3 and LD3 series manuals, and is also catalogued under alt. part # 36G54-224. It is not interchangeable with V2-series gas valve assemblies. See Fitment below for the full model list.
It ships complete with the pipe nipples needed to reinstall it in the heater's gas line.
Replacing this part. Confirm the new valve's part number and manifold configuration against the unit before ordering, since this assembly is not interchangeable with V2 heaters. Shut off the gas supply and disconnect power to the heater before removing the old valve, and have a qualified technician verify proper operation once the TP-3140 is installed. Detroit Radiant Products backs the part with a 90-day warranty.
