Product Overview
The TP-264B is a normally open differential pressure switch. In the heater it senses the pressure differential across the burner or exhaust path and opens the circuit on a normally-open contact when airflow falls outside the safe range, an interlock that keeps the burner from firing without proper draft.
It fits the HL2/DX2 (65-100 MBH) family along with XTS, DET, DES, RH, AG1, AG2, RVA2, SV, HLV and the DTH(S) series; see the Fitment panel below for the full model list and configuration notes. It directly replaces the older TP-61A and TP-61B switches, also cross-referenced under alternate number IS22010051F5166.
The switch ships with a 20 in. vinyl sensing tube (field cut to size) and a pair of insect-resistant brass barbs, factory set at 0.10 in. w.c., ready to install as a burner or differential switch.
Replacing this part: depending on the heater, the TP-264B installs as a single differential switch in the valve compartment or as one of a pair of dual switches in the fan compartment, wired to the COM and N.O. spade terminals. Before starting, shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power to the heater, and have a qualified technician verify switch operation against the installation sheet before returning the unit to service. Full step-by-step instructions: LSH008 installation sheet.
