The TP-264C is a normally open differential pressure switch, sold as a complete replacement kit for the burner pressure switch position. The switch monitors the pressure difference between the burner compartment and the atmosphere: when the combustion fan reaches operating speed, the resulting pressure differential closes the switch contacts, signaling the control board to proceed with ignition; if fan airflow drops below the threshold during operation, the switch opens and interrupts the ignition circuit, preventing unsafe burner operation. The switch itself carries the internal part number IS2F5172 (IS22043051F5172), designating an IS2-series pressure switch. The specific OEM manufacturer and cross-reference model number have not been confirmed by the manufacturer, so electrical ratings should be confirmed independently before relying on them for service specifications.
It fits 200,000 BTU/H Re-Verber-Ray DX, DX2, HL, and HL2 tube heaters with dual-switch burner assemblies manufactured before June 2003, where it serves as the burner pressure switch; see the Fitment panel below for the full model list. It is a direct replacement for the older TP-61C (PPS10069-2552) burner pressure switch on those applicable pre-2003 dual-switch models.
The kit ships complete: one IS2F5172 (IS22043051F5172) pressure switch, a 20 in. vinyl sensing tube, and two insect-resistant brass barbs.
Before replacing this switch, shut off the gas supply and disconnect electrical power to the heater. This installation must be performed by a qualified service person; improper installation, adjustment, service, or maintenance can cause property damage, injury, or death. Connect the negative (-) barb to the atmospheric duct and the positive (+) barb to the burner side, and ensure the vinyl sensing tube has a smooth bend with no kinks before restoring power.
