Product Overview
The TP-264E is a differential pressure switch for Re-Verber-Ray gas-fired infrared tube heaters, listed on the manufacturer's parts charts as the 1st (primary) pressure switch. It monitors combustion-air flow through the heater's exhauster or combustion blower: when the blower develops sufficient negative pressure differential across the sensing ports, the switch closes and allows the ignition sequence to proceed; if the required differential is not reached, or drops during operation, the switch opens and de-energizes the burner, keeping the heater from firing without adequate combustion air.
It fits the CL, CL3, CX, DES, DET, DX2, DX3L, HL2, HL3, HLV, LD, LS, MP, RH, SV, and XTS series, spanning roughly 30 MBH to 175 MBH depending on model, and is cross-referenced under the adjacent part number TP-264D. See the Fitment panel for the complete model list.
Ships as a single switch assembly.
Before replacing this switch, shut off gas and disconnect power to the heater. Verify the part number against the series parts chart to confirm the TP-264E is correct for the specific model and BTU rating, since pressure settings vary by series. Reinstallation must be performed by a qualified technician who verifies correct operation before returning the heater to service. Consult the series installation and operation manual, linked in the Docs panel, for the wiring diagram and pressure-switch mounting procedure.
